Jay Lawrence, born and raised in Miami, started photography in January 2006. Self taught, Jay's work started out locally in Orlando yet within the last year has quickly risen to be noticed throughout countries such as the United States, Philippines, Japan, and Russia. His work has captivated many in our nation, and can be described as original, colorful, bold, at the same time capturing the essences of the human emotion.
Considered mostly a natural light artist, Jay Lawrence incorporates the surroundings in his images creating eye-catching effects.

Consistency being his weakness, Jay argues:

"I create what I see in my head. When an idea that I feel will make an impact, I act on it right away to be able to share it with everyone else. At the same time, I want to be able to show that I don't just like to create a great headshot, but I can also create billboards, art, campaigns, fashion, and variety. So yes, some may call my work inconsistent, but it's in my inconsistency that I can create diversity, which I find much more important in my line of work."
